Sue Butler
Greetings PDX CX fans!
4 days to go! Off to Hoogerheide tomorrow to meet up with the team. Thanks to everyone that has been following my season and for your support. It is not to late to extend support financially and make a donation via Kenji! (Right, Kenji?) I am trying to pay off the USAC fee for worlds and my plane ticket over here. I've had no travel/race budget from my team this past year, so everything has been out of pocket and it has made a bigger than normal dent. I figure one dollar from every cross racer in OBRA and I would be set! Just one dollar. Skip the latte and get a normal coffee. :)
I also wanted to pass on this information that was sent to my team manager. It is a free way to watch the world championships. I am hopeful that this year will be the FIRST ever to have an American as the world champion for CX! Katie has had a great season and it will continue on Sunday. I am proud to be a part of this team and look forward to seeing her on the top step!
The links are from Universal Sports, a website and channel partnered with NBC that highlights Olympic Sports all year long. They are going to be broadcasting the Cyclo-Cross World Championships this Sunday. The broadcast will be free and they are really just trying to reach out to all the true cycling fans to let them know where they can come to watch these major events. They asked that it be forwarded and the word spread, so I am doing my part!
