Seth May
All,
This is the final call for the OBRA Officials' Training this Saturday.
Right now, it looks like it's going to be a great training. If you are
hoping to attend, register now. We need to know who will be there prior
to the training.
*New & Novice Officials (9am-3:30pm)*
The morning is dedicated to New & Novice Officials. If you've never been
trained, or need a refresher, this is the session for you. We will be
covering core material before separating to focus on Refereeing and
Judging. The afternoon will include a field session where experienced
officials will mentor new officials in a mock race environment. Also,
feel free to stay for the veterans session afterwards.
*Veteran Officials (3:30pm-5pm)*
Our afternoon Veteran Officials' Session will give you a chance to hone
your skills, learn some new things, and help answer questions. We will
be covering some complex race scenarios, new rules, and a couple other
topics.
If you have the time, please help mentor our novice officials at the
12pm Field Session. We will be conducting a mock race where we pair
experienced officials with new officials in a race environment. Then
just stay for the full afternoon session!
