Sorry to post again, but because of Ravensdale Road Race and Bike Expo we are moving Hunters seminar to MONDAY March 16th, and yes you can attend if you are not a coach but the Clinic is designed for coaches.
***USAC Power Based Coaching Certification Clinic with Hunter Allen MONDAY March 16th presented by Cycle University.
Hunter Allen, a featured presenter and the teacher of USA Cycling's Power Certification Course, will be in Seattle March 16th for an 8 hour certification course to teach you everything you need to know to coach with power. Cost is $175 and you will receive .8 CEU's for USAC Coaching licenses. Open to anyone coaching or wanting to coach with power, non-USAC coaches are $250. 8am - 4pm on Sunday March 15th at Cycle University 5440 Sand Point Way NE.
Topics Covered:
* power tools; overview of the top power based systems & what the right system is for you and your athletes.
* power training steps; from your initial testing to detailed wattage workouts
* how to use your power meter effectively
* how to navigate and use Trainingpeaks WKO+ software
* designing & analyzing workouts; targeting specific areas of strengths & weaknesses such as, sprinting, time- trialing, tempo, functional threshold intervals including "sweet spot" workouts, VO2 max, endurance efforts, anaerobic intervals etc.
* what all the little charts graphs and power lines mean and how to interpret them
* how and why you should be racing with power
* training load analysis & peaking at the right time during the competitive season
