One final word

To David Beebe and OBRA,

I am a mother of a mountain bike racer. This was the

first year he has raced. The races did so much for

his self esteem, building good friendships, of course

the physical conditioning and healthy fun on weekends.

We very much appreciate all the work done by David.

Many times this summer Joe checked the web page for

places and points and geared up for the next race. All

that compiling and posting on the web was a lot of work

for David and was used a lot by Joe and no doubt many

others. What we saw was a positive promoter / organizer

and our experience was great. Thanks for your part

in bringing memorable times to his (our ) first race season.

( I don't have David's e-mail address, but I think I would

like more people to know that his work meant a lot to

someone so I sent this to the full list )

I would finally like to take the time to thank everyone who participated

in

the 1999 Oregon Off Road Series. I guess in the final analysis the series

was a great hit. I would like to apoligize for my negative attitude and

stress at a lot of the races this year.   I have to say in my own defense

though that taking on a project like this one turned out to be a massive

undertaking, much more than I anticipated and I did ancipate a lot.

Anyway,

it has been a great learning experence for me and even though it was an

incredible year, it would not have been possible in the slightest without

your participation. I've learned that even though I really love cycling,

that

this end of promoting for me.

There we're quite a few people whom made this possible and I would like to

thank them.

Sally Russell with her guidance and steadfastness this would not even have

gotten as far as it did.

Jim Fischer for picking up my slack

Clint Nye for giving us a image that made us look like we had more than we

did.

McKenzie Bowerman for volunteering with a consistant positive attitude

and

   never expecting anything in return

and being our chief photographer for the series.

Darby & Lisa Lissette for giving us incredible deals on printing.

Dave Getler at River City bicycles for believing in us and what a great

deal

  this was for his business

And last but not least Power Bar who really likes where you all are taking

mtn biking too.

I would like to apoligize to Jon Myers for unloading on him a while ago

he's

a great guy and it was totally undeserved.

To Candi Murray for trying to keep me vigilant and being supportive when I

was down

To everyone else whom I havn't named but contributed their time and

energy to

this series to make it what it was.

To all the promoters in the series without their tireless energy and

dedication to further the sport this concept would not have been possible.

I'm sure 2000 will be good, Randy Dreiling and crew are working really

hard

to make it even a better year than 98.

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

See you in the next 1000 years.

Cheers,

David Beede
