Not sure if more than the two of us went down but here's what I think I know- Feel free to post any amendments:

About 9 miles to go, about a third of the way back in the pack riding near the right shoulder when the rider ahead of me apparently crossed wheels with the rider in front of him on a 29mph sweeping left bend and went down hard while taking me out as well.

The unfortunate rider ahead of me ended up 20+ feet off the road in the field with the wind knocked out of him and a broken left collarbone. After an assesment and a few minutes rest he was able to move about and was headed to the hospital under his own power via race officials and carpool.

I ended up on the gravel slope bruised, road rashed and down a set of bibs but luckily nothing worse.

Thanks to SG and the two (or three? its all a fog) race personnel for the bandaids, tools, and assistance.

Hope the guys from the first lap made it out ok.......
