Just getting the word out that the Tour de Hood ride will be running again
this year along side the Mt Hood Cycling Classic. So if you plan to race the
Mt Hood Cycling Classic but don't want to abandon your rider spouse that
weekend, bring them along and they can do the Tour de Hood!

Riders in the Tour de Hood take off three hours before the races begin on
Saturday, June 6 from Mt Hood Meadows, and finish at Mt Hood Meadows just
before the racers come in or stop along the final climb "Tour style" to
cheer the racers. Just think, your spouse will have ridden as far as you
that day and will be as tired as you. How's that for bonding?

Then on Sunday, June 7, riders will ride along the Columbia Gorge on the
historic highway toward The Dalles, loop over Seven Mile Hill, and then go
back through Mosier and along the historic highway - the same course that
the racers will cover during the Mt Hood Cycling Classic Time Trial. This
course is partially closed to automobile traffic! And it's absolutely
beautiful riding. Then once riders return to Hood River, they can cheer you
on during your downtown criterium or you can watch the pro1/2 crits in
downtown Hood River together.

Ride one day or both. The best deal on registration is now through March 31.

See www.tourdehoodride.com for details.
