I use the River City version of reach arounds on my rain bike(s) and have mostly had good success. I did have one of the rears crack right at the sharp bend. Clearly a design flaw, they could have easily increased the radius a bit with no functional issue.
I have had very poor luck with SKS fenders and reacharounds on the rear. The fender has a very large unsupported amount and fatique cracks about half way around the fender, across the width of the fender.
Having this happen on 2 different sets, I bought some Planet Bike Freddy Fenders and have had zero issues. I also added a 2mm thick polypropylene fender extension that is on the heavy side but no fender failures. Recommended if you go the reach around route.
