Greetings all,

I have emailled you for a requests.  This list of emails consists of all West Coast Velodromes and a collection of Canadian Velodromes and coaches and we are looknig for one thing....SPRINTERS.

Slowly over the last few years there has been a decrease in sprinting testosterone at the Burnaby Velodrome.  Through retirement, moving away, or the encroachment of every day life our Velodrome is now without any top level sprinters.

Now as an endurance guy I can find the beauty in a 4k Pursuit and the poetry of a well raced Madison, but the all out speed of a real 200m or a closely fought out Match Sprint still does grab my attention and better yet, the attention of an excited audience.

So that is the reason I am sending out this email, our MayDays event, running from the 1st to the 3rd of May 2009 is in need of some real speed.  I have put together two schedules, one with a full round of short fast events; 200m, full match sprint tournament, keirins, kilos, chariot races, as well as a short fast snowball event.  The other schedule is our usual endurance oriented event.

With these tight financial times, I still do not have a finalized prize purse, that will be handled through out the month of March.  My question is what high level sprinters are interested in making their way up to Vancouver BC for the May week-end, racing on a fast tight 200m track and competing against some of the best West Coast and Canadian sprinters around?

Plese email me back, let me know your interest and needs and please by all means pass this email on to anyone capable of going faster than 14secs. in a 200m.  :)
