Hi OBRAland,
I seek to donate my 1998 Mercury Sable wagon to a non-profit youth team or cycling-related non-profit. The catch is that I need them to make use of it, not just auction it off, due to some recent (relatively) changes in tax law. This would make a great SAG wagon... it is in better shape than its mileage (122K) would indicate, runs well and has a rebuilt tranny. Only thing I would put on the radar is to replace the fuel pump as I've been told that it will eventually need replaced.
Please put me in touch with any appropriate charities you know about.
Kenji / Candi / Mike, could OBRA use a sag wagon? I think OBRA qualifies, too:
At a board of directors meeting in San Diego, California, on March 31, 2002, a Mission Statement was adopted. FIAC Bylaws were adopted in April 2002 and the corporation was recognized shortly thereafter by the Federal Government as a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit corporation.
By the way, any charity would work, as long as they use the car vice sell it, but optimally the charity would be bike-related.
Thanks, Brady
