Good Decision

I agree. We did our "Sunday go to meeting" ride at Scappoose today and the snow was beautiful, the roots and mud were slick, but the knobbies were much fun. I would not have wanted to be in a close pack of riders, on narrow tires and on pavement.
Just a single-track view.

Snow + Road = BAD

Mountain bike + Snow = Mudslinger 2008 and safe still, except for the drive.....

Plenty of season left and races to be won

Hard Decision/Good decision

Yes if there was any doubt it was a good decision. I drove up there this morning to scout the conditions for a planned club ride today.  (I live in Forest Grove so it's no biggy) If any of you had any questions on whether OBRA made the right decision check the photos on my blog. (http://tinyurl.com/bikedreams) It was at least as bad as it looked, on the west end of the lake I was slipping around on the road and I have 4x4 with studded tires all the way around.

Good call!
