Re: More RAAM crew needed

Sadly, I'm looking for additional RAAM crew.

My crew chief/mechanic has been in a bad accident and will not (likely) be able to compete with me. NOTE that I say "compete with me" because you can't do RAAM without a solid support team - they are as much a part of the effort as the rider.

Any one of my other crew members can easily fill in in Tim's Crew Chief role <this is the person that you're literally entrusting your life to> - but I will need one or two folks with basic wrenching skills. Nothing exotic.

Other basic requirements include a valid drivers license, decent personal hygeine under abhorrent circumstances, and a sense of humor.

The commitment is from June 16 to June 28. We will be in Pensacola by the 28th, and hopefully sooner. I'll cover your expenses (tho' if you turn out to have an excessive need for $5 lattes in Colorado Springs you may be on your own...), including return airfare. If you're "only" available for a week, and would like to see the Western USA @15 mph, that'd be helpful as well.

As I've had to turn down one prospective crew member for this, I'll say it now (though I thought it should be so self-explanatory that it'd be a non-issue): RAAM is a NON-SMOKING excursion.

If you would be interested in helping, please contact me.

Thanks,

Sandy Kenny
