Jeff Mapes, senior political reporter for the *Oregonian*, recently had his
first book published. It's called, *Pedaling Revolution: How Cyclists Are
Changing America's Cities*. Jeff will be discussing this topic, answering
your questions, and signing copies of his book this Thursday evening at
Powell's Books. Come check it out and meet the author in person!

Date: Thursday, March 19, 2009
Time: 7:30 pm
Place: Powell's Books (downtown Portland)
1005 West Burnside
Portland, OR

Here are more details about the book & event, from Powell's Books:

And here's a recent book review, written by bicyclist/author Joe Kurmaskie
(aka "The Metal Cowboy"):

I hope to see you there Thursday night!

Full disclosure: Author Jeff Mapes is a personal friend of mind, which is
one reason why I'm excited about this event. But still, I'm a full-time
bicyclist, so I'd be happy to see this book in print even if I didn't know
the author.
