Horning's Newest Trail Photos

Again I add that Jim is not in the pics because he was on do photojournalism
work for OBRA! This only when he didn't have a rake or other tool in hand.
Jeff Vine, Jim Jonke, Chris and Dillon Tauscher worked up a storm even
though we had beautiful weather on Sunday. We had our own "Banana Belt" in
the dirt. I need to say that Dillon kept us on task. Thanks Dillon.
For those of you familiar with Horning's the trail in the pics is up above
the Eastern campsite area. Jim posted a couple of images that show the
interface with the road. That road is the one that we rode fast down before
entering the twists in the campsite. The campsite is "under construction"
you might say (tree thinning) and very large equipment tends to modify the
terrain a bit much. So. New trail up above the mess and I think it will
work well on race day. It will be pretty new, but today's rain will help
compact it. It has some short punchy climbs inside the gradual climb and
some imbedded rocks/roots. Not super technical, but will be fun! Plus Bob
Horning gets a nice hiking trail for his campers. Scott Barker and I are
back at it again tomorrow.
Keep riding.
