I have a wired powertap (powertap pro). I have a serial cradle and a
serial-to-usb converter. The Saris software didn't work for me.
WKO+ worked immediately and right away, so I took the plunge and
bought it. Hint: I definitely had to install the software driver for
the serial-to-usb converter. It doesn't work without that.
I like WKO+ a lot, but have a few gripes:
1. Hard to switch between garmin-305 and powertap devices
2. Can't combine garmin-305 and powertap data tracks
3. Doesn't calculate TSS from cycling rides with HR and no power
data. (It does calculate TSS for runs with HR, so you think it
could).
Of course, I *probably* don't need all this data to know what I need
to do to train better. Better recovery, easier on the easy days,
harder on the hard days, ...
