I think for they pro/cat1 race they pulled it off perfectly. I bet most times were 2.5-3 hrs which I think is a perfect length for a XC course. After thinking about it I really like the fact that you finished on the winners lap like a cross race, that way you don't have cat1's taking 3.5 hrs to finish.
I think some other races should look at having racers finish on the winners lap. Like chainbreaker. Maybe if Pickett's got switched to a 3 lap race too. It would be a great incentive not to slack off if you thought you might get lapped by the leader and only get to do 2 laps instead of 3.
I know it would keep me on the throttle...
