I'm looking for a real craftsman that deals with eyes -- someone that
takes their time performing exams, someone I can go to for many years,
and someone who will try and keep my vision around as long as
possible. I moved to Oregon six years ago and have only seen a string
of quick fill-in-the-blank type optometrists that did exams lasting
five minutes or less while spending more time trying to sell me $500
frames after.

Anyone know of any really great eyecare professionals anywhere in the
Portland area? (replies offlist would be preferable)

I don't mind paying more for quality and want to make sure I get a
good thorough exam before ordering custom sunglasses to ride in.
