Many thanks for putting this on, Geri. I had a ton o' fun, despite attempting to do a 20 mile time trial at a 10-mile TT pace. "Fun" wasn't what I was thinking when I passed mile 8 going up Highway 224. Since I was first off, I was wondering if I had simply beaten the gals to the turnaround and was just going to end up at Timothy Lake or something. No such luck! I ain't that fast- I'm happy to have come close to an hour for the 20 miles.

You need to double-check the recumbent results. Lonnie Morse finished twice, and I'm pretty sure he wasn't faster than me. And he sure as heck didn't do two laps.

As soon as the flaggers realized the mistake one of them quickly relocated to the correct 5 mile turn around even before we could get out there to make the correction. We were all very sorry about the mis-communication---I said ten mile race so they went out to the ten mile mark. We are very luck to have flaggers who do such a good job and really care about the safty of the racers. This same flagger has been helping at our races for several years now and takes great pride in doing a good job. She spent extra time today making sure all of our signs would stay up in the heavy wind, making it safer for the riders. Please thank her if you race again.
