Hey Folks,
The Methow Valley Tour will be returning for its 4th year on June 13th
and 14th. We will again start with the time trial in Mazama, WA while
the road race on Sunday will run the same course as last year through
Winthrop, WA. The criterium course that some love and some hate in
Twisp will not be available this year so we are excited to have a new
MASS START HILL CLIMB approved this week by the Forest Service. You
all will be heading about 8 miles up NFD 5140, locally known as the
beautiful Falls Creek climb. For a sneak peak visit: http://www.mapmyride.com/ride/united-states/wa/winthrop/131995271872
(make sure to turn on the elevation).
Full details on the race will be updated at www.mvsta.com late next
week. Couple of advance details - We will continue to score the race
on points. We will use stage race rules so you have to start and
finish each stage. With the addition of services from GC Racing, LLC
will be able to score the races quickly and deeply so we will be
awarding points 40 or 50 deep. Don't be scared away by the hill climb
sprinters.
Hope to see big fields.
Take Care,
Terry Buchanan
