I was excited to hear from Mike Ripley that Willamette will now have a
separate field for the cat-4 women + cat-4 masters! They will start
separately from the cat 1-2-3 + 1-2-3 masters women's field.

It was really fun last weekend to see such a huge cat-4 + masters field at
Cherry Blossom; over 40 women registered. If we can get good turnouts like
these, it will really help in getting separate fields for the women's
categories in future races as well. There was also an awesome turnout from
the cat-3 and Pro-1-2 women. Cherry Blossom was my first stage race and it
was a blast!

I'd encourage the cat-4 women to give Willamette a try, and be sure to thank
Mike for adding the cat-4 field! It's the promoters that can really make a
difference to encourage women in racing.
