First, thanks to everyone for making BB #1 the biggest and best yet! Truly
great early season racing with lots of animation and excitement in every
field. Keep it up, this is going to be a hotly contested series!
Thanks to all the volunteers: Clay Fife, Alan Johnson, Joseph Boquiren,
Claire and Nathan Hobson, Steve and Lynn Holland, Neil Youra, Ernie Conway
(is assured a job next week where he gets to talk), Ron Magnus, Tony Kic,
Lisa Winchester, John Foelsems, Bill Witlatch, Mike Olson, Peter Drake &
Craig Sinanian (sorry about that no stop/slow sign, vest, radio thing there
at that corner...extra cookie next week?), Tracie Mitchem, Diana Bird.....
and anyone I forgot (sorry). More soon to volunteers...
In an effort to make Banana Belt #2 even better:
1. I'm dancing naked in my back yard all week with raven feathers in my hair
(duct tape) and a sunshine painted on each cheek..... in an effort to
appease all relevant gods potentially in charge of weather. It'll either be
sunny or snowing.
2. The following applies to masters and women: The following currently
appears on the race flyer: "Promoter reserves the right to combine or split
groups." As you recall, the promoter exercised this right during BB #1
creating two Masters fields. For BB #2 and 3 I am specifying this right as
follows: IF 25 OR MORE RACERS SHOW UP IN ANY MASTERS AGE (35-44, 45+) or
WOMEN'S CATEGORY, THAT GROUP WILL BE SPLIT AND SCORED SEPARATELY.
3. Excellent work on those parking passes..... only 7 out of 100s of cars
did not comply ($150 fine..ouch!). According to the park service that's
record compliance. Let's do it again two more times...
