Subject: Kings Valley Denouement: Forward to OBRA list, please

Hello OBRA members:

The fourteenth edition of the nearly world famous Kings Valley Road Race has
come and gone and it was yet another great day of bike racing on a cool
course with great weather. We always try to make things go as smoothly as
possible and I think we were pretty successful for the most part.

Thanks to all who came out and raced, as well as (of course) all the good
folks like officials and volunteers that made the event possible. Special
thanks goes to the Therapeutic Associates Cycling/Sagebrush Cycles Team for
helping us out with support drivers for our women’s fields.

One issue that we need to raise is that, for some reason, we had a few
individuals who chose to urinate in front of the house of one of the our
start area neighbors. The owner of the home came over to talk to me about
the situation and I did my best to explain to her that we take these sorts
of things very seriously and try to punish offenders and even have them
cited by law enforcement if possible. If you are one of the perpetrators,
and you’d like to man up and do the right thing, contact me off list and
I’ll give you the woman’s name and you can call her and apologize.

The Kings Valley Road Race has enjoyed the same excellent course for 14
years now and we’d like everyone to help us keep it. We are the guests of
the people that live on and near the course and we should act accordingly.

Meanwhile, If you finished in the money;

Pro I-II: 10 deep

Cat III & Cat IV: 8 deep

All others: 4 deep

… and didn’t stick around after the race to collect, contact me via email
and give me an email address and we’ll blaze your glorious winnings out to
you via Paypal, or send me a snail mail address and a check will be sent via
mule train, camel caravan, or 3 masted barque ‘round the horn. (i.e. Paypal
is the fastest way).

Thanks again and we will see you next year on the (as always):

Hello OBRA members:

The thirteenth edition of the nearly world famous Kings Valley Road Race has
come and gone and it was yet another great day of bike racing on a cool
course with great weather.

Thanks to all who came out and raced, as well as (of course) all the good
folks like officials and volunteers that made the event possible. We were
really pleased with how the extra field for the Women worked out. Y’all
came out in great numbers and really showed that it was the right thing to
do. Women racers be sure to thank the Therapeutic Associates Inc. Cycling
Team and Karey Miles for first elbowing Cameron and I to create an extra
Women’s field and then helping us make it happen with support drivers.

We have a few lost items from the race (a wheelset, a really nice ladies
Castelli long sleeve jersey, and a bike computer). If these sound familiar,
contact OBRA or myself and we’ll see you re-united with your stuff.

If you finished in the money;
