As for Mental Illness, Ron is correct, it is very tough to deal with.

If you are interested in hearing a first hand acount in a theatrical
performance, go see "Crazy Enough", Storm Large's autobiographical
play/performance at Portland Center Stage's Gerding Theater. It is
tremendous and really give an insight into dealing with a family
member with mental illness. The show runs through June 7th.
