A friend and I are raising money for charity by racing in the 2002 Race

Across America. This 3,000 mile race is called the toughest athletic

event in the world, with 100,000 feet of total elevation gain throughout

its route. Unlike traditional bike races, this ultra-marathon event is

run non-stop for its entire distance. We are looking for pledges of 1

penny for every mile we cover in the race (~$30/pledge). At this point,

we are just asking for pledges and will not actually collect any money

until we find out if we can cover our costs and still give a significant

amount to charity. We are hoping to raise $1000 for the Washington

Epilepsy Foundation. If you know of anyone who may be willing to make a

pledge, please spread the word of our cause. Thank you.
