I don't know about the behind the scenes on Extreme Makeover, but i do know what happens before and after the Track Clean Up Day behind the scenes, and why it only took 4 hours "to see the track virtually cleaned up and painted around 2pm".
If any one is interested to know, I tell ya.
BTY, the behind the scene team will be out at the track at 10am tommorrow (4/22) to continue finishing the job if anyone what's to continue helping.
Thanks,
Garcia

It was completely amazing to see the track virtually cleaned up and painted around 2pm -- our version of Extreme Makeover -- Velodrome Edition. In my approx 25 yrs of working on the track, it has got to be one of the best ever attended and quickest work I've seen. What a community of doers!

Well over 90 people showed up to help clean and paint the track. It was
beyond terrific. Many thanks to old friends and many new ones who I never
got to meet. Chris King and crew killed it with pancakes and then we
demolished 30+ pizzas. The track looks great. We plan to patch the remaining
holes tomorrow so that the first track class of the year, this Wednesday
gets to ride with no problems.
