If you were planning to go to Willamette this weekend and you're not sure what to do with your racing legs, why not head on out tomorrow night and give it a whirl? The weather might not be as beautiful as last week, but it will most likely be better than in Portland. We set a new record last week (76 riders) and we'd love to see more. The 3/4 race was great to watch - very smooth, consistent, and fast.
5:30 PM - Category 4/5 and Juniors (25 minutes)
6:00 PM - Category 3/4 and Women (40 minutes)
6:45 PM - Category 1/2/3 (45-60 minutes depending on daylight)
If you need a good ride to do on Sunday, you can go to The Dalles and try the Cherry of a Ride tour. The course travels over some of the same roads as the Cherry Blossom race and you can select from several different distances. The weather in the The Dalles is always warmer and drier than the west side of Oregon. Check out http://www.cherryofaride.com/ for more details.
