Matt Plummer
Hi folks. Just a few days away from the start of the TT Series. I wanted to
let everyone know that we will be racing outside, so be sure to prepare for
that. I am unable to outline all hazards, but last time I was out there I
saw a couple pieces of gravel on the course. People live in that area, so
you may also see a car or two. Lot's of those lots are farmland on the
course, so there is likely to be a smell of manure in the air. Since this
course is a loop, there's a possibility of tail, side, and head winds. Time
Trials are also a lot of work, so you may break a sweat. Some of that sweat
may get in your eyes and may even cause an odor. Someone is going to win and
someone is going to lose. I'm so sorry for all those that won't be winning.
I hope I didn't forget to warn you about anything. The last thing I'd want
is for something unexpected to happen. So if you're worried about leaving
your safe little bubble for a while, perhaps this race isn't for you.
Don't forget discounted entry to those that sign up at Sunnyside tomorrow,
5-7pm. You'll also receive 25% off Physiology Testing at COCC's Physiology
Lab if you sign up tomorrow.
Otherwise, registration will be open 5:30-6pm on Wednesday.
Numbers on BOTH sides. $5 penalty if you come with only one number.
And Don, you're more than welcome to join us. I think you're a good guy and
it saddens me that people aren't aware/don't care what you've done for this
sport.
