Jason, I understand you're upset, and Don's message was likely the
"straw that broke the camel's back", but I really think you should
try to keep your language civil. Resorting to pointed name calling is
uncalled for and sets a bad example for our children and any younger
readers of this list.

I agree that there could have been better communication about the
race. Many on this list were wondering last week if the race was
still on since the organizers had been pretty mum. After perusing
weather reports I myself had serious doubts about venturing out
towards the Mt. Hood area.

If your kid(s) finished the race, my congratulations to them--
finishing the race was a victory in itself. Heck, even if they didn't
officially finish but still rode it at all, they have my respect.
