Mt. Hood Cycling Classic

Judy,

I could really side either way. If it's cut to 3 days, I'll probably sign
with relief. If it stays at 4, I'll feel extra proud to have met the
challenge. But... I do suspect the extra day off from work will keep some
women from racing. It's hard to justify 2 days off work, especially if it's
unpaid, for a bike race. If that IS the reason some of you are not racing,
please speak up! I'd rather race 3 days with a good field size than 4 days
with only a few of us.

BTW, the free t-shirt, pint glass and poster "bribe" will be the reason this
procrastinator will sign up by May 7th. ;-) Thanks, Chad.

I ran into Chad Sperry today, and he asked me to find out if 3/4 women would rather have a 3 stage race (TT, Crit and Road Race) or a 4 stage event (Cooper Circuit, TT, Crit, Road Race)? He's really trying to maximize appeal with the 3/4 women in mind.

He also asked me to find out if there is a general consensus for why people wait so long to register. It's hard on organizers to gauge how registration is going if people who are planning on racing haven't officially registered. There's no chance he will cancel, he's just wondering if there's some greater phenom at work.

Thoughts are greatly appreciated!
thanks!
