Informational Meetings Going on Now for Fall 2002 Season
The Oregon branch of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is currently
recruiting both novice and experienced cyclists for ?Team In Training,?
the largest fitness training program in the world. The goal of Team in
Training is to increase funding to support he Society?s mission while
promoting fitness and healthy life styles.
Cyclists will be gearing up to ride
Cycle Oregon, September 7-15 El Tour De Tucson Century Ride, Nov. 23
Organized by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, ?Team In Training? is a
unique program with a win/win philosophy for cyclists and leukemia
patients. Participants are trained by certified and experienced cycling
coaches, and receive the support needed to successfully complete an
event. This support includes a personalized training schedule, free
fitness seminars, cycling partners and regular group rides to keep
everyone motivated. As they train, they raise money in honor of an
individual leukemia patient. Many cyclists, patients, and their
families become friends through the ?Team In Training? experience.
