N Portland, Mississippi Ave.

Over 120 volunteers are needed to make the event a success. Meet in front of
the Laughing Planet Cafe (between Failing and Beech St on Mississippi Ave.)
at the designated time for your volunteer position.

All volunteers get a free t-shirt, food and drink and a fun-filled day of
bike activities.

**COURSE MARSHALLS**
See the racers up close and ensure the safety of the racers and spectators
on the course! Assist in safe course crossings when no racers are coming,
give spectators and residents a heads up the racers are coming, and keep
people off the racecourse.
Details
4:30 - 7:15 pm. Should be very comfortable communicating with the public, is
alert and can multitask. Wear comfortable shoes.

COURSE TAPING TEAM
See the course magically come to life! Help the organizers set-up barricade
tape along the course.
Details
12 - 4:30 pm. Wear sturdy shoes.

RACE SET-UP CREW
See the event magically come to life! Help the race organizers set up
barricades, cones, fencing, signage, and other variety of logistics.
Details
1-5 pm. Must be able to lift and carry large items. Must be able to commit
to position for at least 3 hours. Bring gloves and sturdy shoes.

RACE GUIDE AMBASSADORS
Keep the spectators in the loop!
Details
2-5 pm, 4:30 - 7. Walk to course and hand out race guides to people on the
street. Should be friendly and out going.

GENERAL CLEAN-UP
Be part of the clean up crew that helps make the event disappear in the
night like it never happened! Help the weary organizers clean up from this
great event by bringing in barricades, cones, and course logistic equipment.
Details
7 pm. It helps if you are able to lift boxes. Bring gloves and sturdy shoes.
If available, please bring headlamp.

RACE SPECIFIC VOLUNTEERS:
FLYERING PARTY #1
Mon, June 8 | 6 - 8 pm - Includes FREE RIDE PASS to The Night Ride!
Help flyer the neighborhood to inform them about the event.

FLYERING PARTY #2
Wed & Thurs, June 10 & 11 (MUST COMMIT TO BOTH SHIFTS) | 6 - 7 pm
Includes FREE RIDE PASS to The Night Ride!
Help flyer cars and put up parking signs to inform people about the event.
Meet outside Laughing Planet on Mississippi Ave.

EARLY SET UP/ TRUCK UNLOADING
Get an early start to your volunteer shift so that you can enjoy the
festivities!
Details
9:30am - 12:30 pm. Set up canopies, move boxes, put up signs, etc.

BARRICADE TRUCK TRANSPORT CREW
Get the course ready for the racers! Help the organizers prep the course by
dropping street barricades and bales of hay on sidewalks to be put into
place when the streets close. You may also help with other course set up.0
Details
10am - 1 pm. Must be able to lift and carry large items up to 50lbs. Bring
gloves and sturdy shoes.
