Mike Ripley
Hello,
Some of you are close to an upgrade and or are getting upgraded from cat 3
or 2 to cat 1, ect
Remember 3 top 3's in a full field, 15 for men and 10 for women and bump up.
For the series you will take 50% of your points with you and compete for
your new category and allow other people to compete for the victory, if you
are that dominate.
Regarding Pro Upgrades. regarless if you get upgraded from Cat 1 to Pro USAC
will not recognize you as a Pro unless you compete on a regional or national
level, so no need to worry if you have age group aspirations as a 35-45 year
old at bigger natioanl events...your OBRA pro status just means you are a
dang fast rider in our state.
Thanks everyone....its been a great season so far with higher than ever
attendence and now that the weather may be getting even better even more may
show. All races have had over 200 riders and SPring Thaw may break 300-350
Saturday.
State Championships/Mudslinger
Official results have been posted to reflect actual Mudslinger Categories
getting State Championship Status for 2009. So all 20 categories and 45+
women are now awarded double bar points for their efforts. All and all it
actually works cleaner and I will be sending you your state medals as I did
not award you at the slinger...thanks for your comments and paitence
regarding this. A seprate State Championship race will be held outside of
the series in 2010 and have distinct categories, but for this year the
results are posted an please check them and E-mail me with your addresses as
I will drop a medal in the mail.
Sincerely
Mike Ripley
