Juniors on Tandems:
 
I support Ms. Bossen's view that tandems help kids, and their in, serve the OBRA community. We have a project of youth development brewing at Cyclisme that we would love to see add spice to OBRA-land.
I agree with Ms. Bossen's assertion that OBRA can create the environment of sport for Junior Tandem races, or any kind of racing that our cumulative genius might design.
 
Take a look at one tandem team we are proud of, and would love to present to you when racing rules allow.
 
These young men would love nothing more than to come to an OBRA event and race their tandem. (a short ways anyway)

I rode a tandem on CycleOregon with my son Mikkel from the time he was 5 years old.  He would have loved to have done some tandem races when he was young.  He also captained the tandem at 10 years old with my 5 year old niece. 

I think it is a great way to introduce kids to riding safely and would be a fun way for them to race. 

The great thing about OBRA is we can make this kind of racing happen.
