500 yd Swim - 12 mi Bike - 5k Run

Tri It Like a Penguin is a fun triathlon event designed for beginner &
experienced triathletes.

Registration Information Pre-registration only. Registration at the Clark
College Bookstore or online through orbike.com. Online registration will
close Friday, June 5th at 11:00 p.m.
You may also register Saturday, June 6th from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m at the
O'Connell Sports Center lobby on the Clark College campus.
There is no day of race registration!
Fees Individuals: Students/Staff $20*, Non Students $30*
Teams: $40* Students/Staff, $50* Non-Students/Staff
*This event is sanctioned by the Oregon Bicycle Racing Association. All
participants must be a member. One-day memberships can be purchased for $5.
Time: The first swimming heat goes off at 8:00 a.m.

Course: The course begins at Marshall Center and ends at the Clark College
fountain.
Swim (500 yards) The swim will be held at the Marshall Center Pool (1009 E.
McLoughlin Blvd.). Swimmers will be grouped into heats based on their
self-estimated time for a 500 yards swim.
Swimming heat sheets will be posted online
(www.lormormedia.com/penguintriathlon) at 6:00 p.m. Saturday evening
Bike (12.1 miles) The course is a flat and fast out and back that heads west
toward Vancouver Lake.
Ansi/Snell approved helmets are required and cyclists must obey the rules of
the road.
Run (5k) The run will be one big loop and one small loop around the Clark
College campus. The run will finish at the Clark College fountain. For
