Las Friday night was fun as we got to see Oregon's first lady of cycling

take to the track, and she, Candi Murray even won the omnium over two hard

charging women who have been learning the trick of the trade on Wednesday

night. Shirley Clark was able to take the first race of the night making a

big move during the Lindt Chocolate prime and holding off Darlene Madduax in

a very tight sprint. The final race was a 2 lap handicap and saw Candi

Murray shoot off like a rocket and hold off a quick charging Shirley who

once again ended up the bridesmaid with Darlene not far behind. They looked

like they were even having fun in the process.



Other races on the night saw sprinters fall in love with the sprinters

points race were you could not loose laps and Dan Houghton took advantage of

the lazy sprinters and his teammates help to win the race handily. Look for

a modified version tonight with a pacer in the field to keep the riders from

becoming too lazy (get caught by, or pass the pacer and you are out of the

race). Team RCW took control of teh Master's B field yet again, even though

Junior Champ, Larsyn Staley joined the bunch, with Darrell Provencher taking

the night. And when Larsyn wasn't being beat up by team RCW, she was

handing it to the Love brothers on team Cyclisme in the junior field that

included two other Cyclisme riders Joshua Harris and Michael Dawson. Look

for an exciting Juniors race tonight as it is part of the Larry Burkey

Memorial Junior Track Series.
