After five years of running bikemecca.com, I've made the decision to shut the website down. The server should get zapped by this weekend.

Although it's been fun, I haven't been able to keep up with new content as often as I'd like, especially since I haven't been in the bicycle retail trenches for a couple of years now.

Thanks to everyone who has visited the site over the years, and special thanks to all the advertisers over the years, especially those sponsors that have been there from the beginning: Rebound Physical Therapy, Wildheart Cycling, Cog Wild Bicycle Tours and Mike Colbach. Forgive me if I've missed anyone.

Tentative plans are for the domain name to change hands and for a new website to emerge with a new look and a new focus on cycling advocacy, alternative transportation, and sustainable living.

Thanks again, and I hope you can show your support for the new website when it makes its debut.
