Wy’East Road course...

You'll be fine. Just came down from Mt Hood Meadows and the MHCC finish..A
bit cool but perfect riding weather.
If it's hot, take an extra bottle but two should do. Dufur has a couple of
stores and in a pinch, go around behind the Museum and there's an outdoor
farm type faucet. Tygh Valley has a store, too with a gas station. Wamic
has a store and restruant..Do keep topped up with water, but I ride that
loop alone and unsupported often with no problemo. There are some big
potholes (well marked for the race today) on forest road 48. If you are
worried about parking at Meadows (the ski area access road is a grunt of a
climb) you can certainly park at Govt. Camp. or any of the sno parks along
hwy 35.. Have fun.

Some buddies and I are thinking about doing this course tomorrow
starting at Meadows. I was wondering what the availability was like
for refreshments along the way, water being the most important. How
about food or snacks in Dufur or Tygh Valley on a Sunday? is there a
store or gas station? Are we just plain stooopid?

If I can get this firmed up would others like to come too? I was
thinking about leaving pdx around 7:00 am. and driving up to the ski
area. Oh, what about parking... do I need a trails pass?

Thanks, Doug
