My Crash

So sorry to hear about the crash, Jeff. And it's relative severity - wow. Those two little potholes at that corner wreaked some havoc - each lap I held my breath as I dove inside, drifted outside or threaded the needle to avoid them. Track and crit racing = dangerous; cyclocross = much safer!

I hope you have a speedy recovery and that you are back to proper Standish form for the muddy season.

Fractured Fibula, and 3 or 4 broken ribs. Sprained right thumb and some serious road rash.

I would like to say "thank you" to all the great folks who took care of me as I lay on the ground withering. I could not catch my breath, I was hot, I was in pain and I was pissed because I was in good position all night long. Maybe not at the moment of my crash though.

Sorry for my poor language as I lay there, I really was pretty freaked out. Thanks again to the folks of OBRA for being there and taking care until I could get into the car.

I hope to see an orthopedist on Monday or Tuesday, I hope for surgery soon after if I need it.

This sucks! Bike blown up!!! Broke in 4 places, top tube and Seat tube broken in two spots each.

I hope to be up and at'em soon.

Glad I have a great family to help me out.

Could not catch my breath at the race and I cussed a lot, not a very good role model for the boys. Time to put my foot up! Just wanted to let you all know how I am doing and that I appreciate your help and good thoughts.
