I have a steel, lugged road bike frame approx 20" (52-53 cm), with friction derailleurs, HB/stem, freshly-overhauled BB, double-ring crankset and brake calipers installed. It needs the rest of the parts and some mechanical love to get it rolling. Brand of frame is unknown (though I know it's Taiwannese) and presumed to be NOT a big brand name, merely decent and unspectacular; I believe the frame is from roughly early 1980's.
I also have a set of 27" road wheels (126 spacing, freewheel only) that would be fine on this frame, though they are not installed.
The frame is too small for me. I need to make space and raise some money to cover my racing costs this summer. Would really like to see this go to a newer rider who needs a road bike and is on a tight budget. This could be a decent Entry-level cyclocross bike or a rainy-day commuter (just add fenders). Horizontal rear droouts could make this a single-speed cross bike if you're inclined. Asking $175.00 cash for the lot just to make it go away.
If interested please email off-list. Thanks much --Beth
