Didn't he just do that?
I suppose you could get a rope & tie him to a couple of bikes and drag
him around the crit course by the feet for public humiliation though....

I dunno but I think Mike and Cheryl are only two on a long list of
people you should apologize to....

Ernie Conway and the guys from South Town Velo busted their freakin'
butts for the past few months (for free) to make this race happen as it
did...regardless of the weather and regardless of whether or not you
approve.

I'm sorry, Mike. I already sent an apology to Cheryl before your
comment.

It's unfortunate that the organizers were not aware of the situation
described in your post when making promises that I now understand could
never possibly be delivered. That would certainly have affected plans
during discussions about whether to spend the time and money to cover
the race and what the logistics would be if that happened.

At some point there were electronic copies of results when they were
printed out and a paper copy taped up at the high school and criterium,
which was blessed with excellent weather and enthusiastic crowds. It
would have been nice to have those files e-mailed as promised,
especially after repeated reminders. That didn't happen, so a lot of
confusion, wasted time and resources ensued.

Personally, my internet connection was frustratingly slow and unstable
and could quickly turn a couple hours of work into a long night. But I
muddled through and posted what little I had after spending the day at
the races, then downloading, processing and posting photos while waiting
for results that never came, because that it was I had agreed to do.

I'm confident those bugs can be worked out for the next one.
