BTY: The Great Divide Race is the original Border to Border off-road race that follows the Great Divide Trail. A couple years ago route controversy broke out with the addition of the Canadian section and a new race was started, The Tour Divide which includes the canadian section. Tommy couldn't get a passport so opted for the GDR. Unfortunately there is only one other person who is doing GDR and 40+ starters of TD...regardless I am sure he is having a great time. I spoke with Tommy a few days ago and he said he and the other racer, Cullen were riding together. I think that their main goals are to finish and have a good time rather than break any records...although I could be wrong. :)
