I have been so pleased with the number of responses that I have been getting regarding volunteers for the Cascade Cycling Classic(CCC) and Nationals. However, there are still so many spots to fill and the races are getting closer. Many of you have made a great attempt to go to the website and fill in the spreadsheet. This does not work. I am not a computer wiz and did not set up the site to work this way. In fact, I was amazed that I was able to make the website in the first place. If you have done this, your name was not saved on the spreadsheet, and you will have to email me with the day and position you would like so I can update the website myself. I have just updated the spreadsheets with all of you that have emailed me thus far. Please take a moment to double check the site/spreadsheets to see if your name is in the correct place. We will be hosting a BBQ on Tuesday, July 14th at 6 pm, for those of you volunteering for the CCC. It will be at Shevlin Park. This BBQ is not only to thank you for volunteering but also there will be training for how to be a corner marshal and how to properly hand out water bottles to racers. There will also be a BBQ for Nationals. The date is yet to be determined.
With all this being said I still need hundreds of volunteers to fill all the open spots for these two events. Please take a moment to check out the websites and see were you can give a couple hours to either or both of these spectacular events. I look forward to hearing from you.
