A huge pat on the back for everyone who came out for the inaugural 8hrs of Independence. The course was an amazing mix of fast swoopy singletrack and leg searing climbs. All of the racers did an AMAZING job. Congratulations to my Team Dirt teammates who really put in some incredible rides to win their respective categories...Chris Brandt--PRO Men, Michael Vanderberg--SingleSpeed, James Ceccorulli--Cat (1) 19-34 and Amber Hilgert--Cat (3) women. As usual Mike put together a great event and despite some serious heat, I thought the day went great. Thanks again to everyone who showed up and gave it their all. Now take that experience/fitness and sign up for the first ever High Cascade 100 race out in Bend!
