Dear Mountain bikers

Do to safety concerns the 8 Hr course and area will only be available to
ride the day of the event on the 4th of July. Some of you have asked for the
gpx file. We did have an incident....and I say "We" with not you in mind,
but a couple of mountain bikers were out riding and stopped in the middle of
the trail to stop the motos a few weeks ago to tell the motos that they
should yield when its their place to ride and having a place to ride in this
area for moto's is special indeed. It got pretty heated and the mountain
bikes have no ground to stand out in this area. Starker forests are the best
land stewards ever and they have so many other areas for us to ride that it
is better and I support the decision 100%

Plus if this happens more, maybe the areas we do have will be compromised
and that would be sad indeed

- The course goes opposite of the way that the motos ride the loop....so
yes it is dangerous to be out there with them
- All it takes is a few to spoil things and for the most part mountain
bikes never really new about the area and its steeper that Falls City in
alot of places if you do not know the area to have a good time.
- So if you ride there maybe a 400.00 ticket that could be your reward
or maybe you like supporting county revenue.

I hope the Flat Mountain riders will have us back and I am confident they
will and as a trail steward will support their efforts to maintain trails on
their area to ride for the event on 7/4/2010
