MTB XC Riders, You should ride the Crook County Crush

I have to agree with Dave, the Ochocos are really special. I was riding
out there this past weekend thinking how much the area is like Bend was
before all the crowds "discovered" it. It has it all, the previously
mentioned great singletrack, quiet back roads perfect for CX bike
explorations and scenic paved routes. Imagine this - in over three hours
of CX riding on Saturday (the Fourth of July) I saw not even one moving
motor vehicle. When was the last time you had that much of the road to
yourself?

The Crush will be one of the best rides you'll do all year. Don't miss
it. In fact, bring several of your bikes and make a weekend out of it.

Reasons:
1) If you haven't ridden in the Ochocos, which are a little NE of Bend, you don't know what you're missing. The Round Mtn/Lookout Mtn loop used for the Pro/Expert has some of the best single-track in Central Oregon. The Lookout Mtn descent (all categories) is fantastic.

2) Drive time from PDX is about the same as the drive to Bend.

3) It's likely the last XC race of the season, so let's see a good turn-out. (Only 90 racers at Return on the Jedi, probably the most fun course of the year, is lame.)
