The Hottest Day of the Year Ride is finally happening in the heat! You
may know how this funny little story goes... the Worst Day of the Year
Ride (Feb) always has sunny skies and warm weather. The Hottest Day of
the Year Ride (early Aug.) has always had somewhat dreary - even cold
and rainy - weather.

Well, it looks like the weather gods are FINALLY cooperating with us and
we're going to have one hell of a ride on Sunday!

We hope you'll join us for this celebration of all thing summery and
cycling. Rest Stop #1 has a gigantic Slip n' Slide. Rest Stop #2
features a watermelon eating contest, with Wild Man (Gregg) Lavender as
the watermelon rodeo king (watch out!).

There are summery treats along the way and a gigantic make-your-own
sundae bar at the finish line. There is also a finish line water fight,
water games and more.

There is a 15 mile mostly-flat course (except for a climb up Interstate
at the beginning of the ride) and a 40 mile challenge (past Kelley
Point, Smith+Bybee, Alameda Ridge and climbing Mt. Tabor).

If you volunteer, you can ride for free.

Online registration, and your chance to save, ends tonight at midnight.
You may also register at Pre-Ride Check In on Saturday or at the event
on Sunday.

ICE CREAM COFFEE DRINKS
We're whipping up some of our famous ice cream coffee drinks for
everyone who comes to Pre-Ride Check In on Saturday at Lucky Lab NW from
11:30-2:30. Pre-Ride Check In is completely optional, but it's a great
way skip the Sunday check in lines.
