A friend of mine has a friend who lives downtown (he currently is
without a home). He uses his bike to get around and try to find odd
jobs here & there, but the rear wheel got damaged. The rim is bent
badly enough that it's not repairable. We are looking for a
replacement wheel. Does anyone have an old 700c road wheel (or even
just a rim) they'd like to donate or sell for a reasonable
price? It's a Shimano 8 speed hub, and the current rim is about 24mm
wide (1") double wall aluminum rim. He's a big guy so he needs
something relatively durable. Thank you.
