I don't think you could go wrong with any of the Niner bikes if you want big
wheels. The Salsa mountain frames seem solid too if you can get past the
way they look. If you are open minded, check out the Carver bikes. I have
never ridden a better handling production bike and they are relatively
cheap.

I'm starting to dream of a singlespeed mountain bike. A custom-made frame is not an option for me right now, so what brand/model names should I be checking out?
