By the way, I know it's not 'dermantologist.' Oops. Don't ever ask me how many c's are in 'recommend,' though.

Anyway, one person wrote me and was curious as to what I heard (of course, all this is hearsay :), so I thought I'd summarize it here:

Remember these comments regard only people that are on my preferred provider list from Portland:

A health professional connected with OHSU says people they know really like Tofte, who is an RN, and you can see her much sooner than Swanson. Both are at OHSU.

A local MD usually recommends Eric Hanson, who is not on my list, and also likes Michael Adler at the Portland Dermatology Clinic in NW Portland. Also these people have good reputations: Storrs, Cliff White, Parker.

Another person really liked the people he saw at Port. Derm. Clinic.

Someone saw Dr. Devere at OHSU and says she is great.

Finally: "I've been to Phoebe Rich and liked her a lot. I do remember waiting a long time (maybe an hour) to finally see her, but she was pleasant and knowledgeable."

For whatever it is worth, I will probably go to the Port. Derm. Clinic, because it is close to where I live and had several good comments about it.
