commute to hillsboro? (from downtown).

Been studying the maps: i see heading west, that once you get to or at the
Hwy 26 Zoo exit, one can ride on bike path along 26, at least to hwy 217
where one can cross on wilshire and head down to walker road, etcl, on to
hillsboro.
BUT what is the fastest way to get to Canyon Ct road off the zoo exit ?

I only see a 3 choices:
1. through washington park zoo, (which i did yesterday, and seems less than
desirable for my fat butt),
2. Montgomery Dr / Humphery Blvd (which is, i know equally daunting).
3. Or finally up Sw jefferson -> Canyon road right onto Hwy 26 ?? One bike
map showed this possible ? Is it ? Anyone ride right on hwy 26 from
downtown, to the Zoo Exit ??

it appears as the least climbing would be 10 through hillsdale but that
seems to far south to be as fast ?
