Jon,
Has anyone from the City responded to your concern? Please let me know if
you haven't received an answer and I will follow-up immediately.
To briefly bring new developments to your attention, the Water Bureau has
relaxed some of their security requirements that should reduce the cost to
events who wish to use that same route at Mt. Tabor. This is good news as
these specific costs were the reason the Wednesday Night Bike Series
decided
to cancel their event. The Rose City Wheelman had already decided to
continue with their event even with the costs. This change should help
them
as well.
Again, if you haven't been given a reply or if I can be of further
information now or in the future please don't hesitate to write.

If you cancel the Wednesday night race series, you have extended the
terrorist's terror and damage all the way from New York City to Portland,
Oregon. Having more people out and enjoying the area seems should
discourage terrorist behavior. More eyes and ears watching for something
seems like a good thing vs. having the place abandoned. Don't live up to
a
reputation of making stupid "Government" decisions. Act for the people
not
against the people!
